Spill Gates Afobakadam Open from 2 March
The spill gates of the Afobaka dam will be opened from Wednesday 2 March 2022 due to the high water level in the reservoir. The spilling will take place over a longer period of time, at intervals.

The discharge will take place in a controlled manner, Staatsolie Power Company Suriname N.V. (SPCS) assures.
