Staatsolie employees from the Offshore Directorate renovated the playground at OS1 Meerzorg, creating a safer, more colourful and more inviting space where children can play freely again.
The playground at OS1 Meerzorg received a fresh new look through Staatsolie’s Helping Hands programme. A team of employees from the Offshore Directorate worked with enthusiasm on the project, which was successfully completed on 18 June 2026. Their efforts focused on giving the children a safer and more attractive outdoor space where they can play and enjoy their school environment.
The work included renovating the playground’s fences and play equipment and giving them a fresh coat of paint. The playground area was also raised and further refurbished, improving both the appearance and usability of the space. These upgrades helped transform the area into a more colourful, inviting and child-friendly place.
By improving the playground, the Offshore Directorate team contributed to a school setting where children can play more safely and comfortably. The project reflects the purpose of Helping Hands: bringing Staatsolie employees together to support community initiatives with practical work, teamwork and care. The refreshed playground at OS1 Meerzorg is another example of how employee volunteerism can create visible and meaningful impact for local schools and communities.
